How to Keep Leads Warm and Close More Deals
About 6 months ago, I remember sitting in my living room thinking to myself, “How do make it easier for myself to retain leads and close more deals?!” Up to that point, it had been a challenge to keep my leads warm enough for a close. Up till then, I was struggling to retain and close leads, and the company was feeling it. While we were still getting a healthy amount of clients per month, we hit a threshold, a ceiling we just couldn’t get passed.
As I am sure you have experienced the struggle of keeping leads warm enough for a deal, getting new clients and closing deals is not an easy feat, especially in today’s digital space.
Think about it. Let’s say you have leads coming in from ads, referrals, or from your social accounts. Great! They opted-in for your product or service. Now what?
Well, now, they wait for you to reconnect with them at a later date. Maybe, it’s the next day, week, or month. Regardless, during that time, they don’t hear from you. They lose interest and forget about what they opted-in for! Now, when you do reconnect with them, the lead you worked so hard to get has gone cold. They become a lost opportunity… Tough luck…
Imagine, you don’t have to worry about that ever happening. Let’s say, leads come in through your ads, referrals, and from your social accounts. Awesome! They are interested in value you have to offer. But, now, the time between showing interest and reconnecting with them, they are no longer waiting… By the time you connect with them, they are warm leads and more agreeable to use your product or service!
Later that month, after rigorous brainstorming with my team, we figured out the code! We began to put together our automated follow-up system. Right after they show interest in our products and services, there’s an automatic follow-up process that is packed with more information such as testimonials, case studies, and even training videos. It happens on our applications and webinars. It has allowed me to keep leads warm and close more deals.
You can do the same! When a lead comes in, have a follow-up process in place. They can be a series of emails, a thank you page with videos, or a mixture of both! If you would like to be more creative and unique, you could send them a gift in the mail!
